Overview
Say goodbye to traditional kennels and hello to our Doggie Day Camp–style Boarding. During the day, your dog has full access to our daycare play groups for stimulation, exercise, and social interaction. At night, they’ll enjoy a cozy, secure sleeping area—plus a final romp and potty break before lights out. We make sure your dog’s stay is just as fun and enriching as it is safe.

Frequently Asked Questions
Please know that the incidence of injury or illness while boarding with us is extremely rare. Using the standard of “If it were my own dog, what would I do,” we will determine whether the dog needs medical attention. If the answer is yes, the dog will be taken to A) your vet if it is close by, B) a local vet in whom The Canine Connection has 100% confidence, or C) the emergency vet clinic if it’s after hours. Payment in full for any veterinary expenses incurred by The Canine Connection is required upon check-out. Owners will always be notified immediately if we feel the dog needs medical attention.
As explained in the previous question, we need to ensure that your dog will play well with others before we agree to take him in. This is for the dog’s well-being. The last thing we want is for your dog to be pent up in a crate 23 hours a day.
As a “playcare” style boarding facility, our boarding dogs are out playing with the daycare dogs several hours each day. For that reason, dogs sleep in crates at night rather than the runs one would see at a traditional-style boarding kennel. (When you’re exhausted at the end of the day, you just need a place to lay your head; certainly not a place to pace.) It would not be fair to your dog to house him in a crate for 24 hours a day. He would do better in a traditional boarding kennel.
While our Boarding program includes group play and socialization throughout the day, we also make time for individual attention. Our team checks in on each dog regularly to ensure they’re comfortable, healthy, and well-adjusted to the group setting. During quieter times, dogs may receive personalized cuddles, grooming checks, or play sessions tailored to their temperament and energy level. If your dog needs extra reassurance or has a special care routine, just let us know—we’re happy to accommodate their unique needs.
In a crate sufficiently sized for your particular dog, in a climate-controlled room.
We are happy to administer oral medications and eye drops at no additional charge. If your dog needs something beyond that, please call us to discuss the specifics.
For safety purposes, we do not crate dogs together. But we can put them side by side in wire crates, which makes them feel as though they are snuggled up to one another.
Yes, as long it is not a rope toy or something stuffed that your dog may possibly ingest over night. Your dogs toy will be in the crate with them when they sleep, but not in the play room due to the possibility of resource guarding their toy.
Yes, please. If you happen to forget, we do feed a high-quality food. But your dog’s digestive system may not accept a new food immediately. We want him to enjoy his playcation, and we know you do, too! So please bring whatever he is accustomed to eating.
You may bring a blanket or an approved bed (we can’t take very large beds), your dogs food and any medications that they may need to take. We also suggest for first time boarders to bring a shirt or blanket of yours (the owner) for the dog to sleep with and ease the first time boarding away from you.
